Digits, labels and separators
Control numbers, unit names, separator characters, spacing and individual colors.
Open More settings. A digit is a countdown number; a label is a unit name such as DAYS; a separator is the character between segments, such as :.
Digits
- Size (px): the same main number size as Font in the basic panel.
- Space: additional digit spacing for the selected design.
- Color: an explicit number-color override.
- Font / Style: number font and style; these are shared with the basic Font settings.
- Padding > Top, Right, Bottom, Left: spacing around the number area.
- Remove leading zero > Days, Hrs, Min, Sec: independently show a single-digit value without its leading zero, for example
7instead of07. - Single Colors > Days, Hours, Minutes, Seconds: override the number color for one time unit.
Removing a leading zero does not hide the entire unit. Use Show segments to hide a unit.
Labels
- Size (px): unit-label font size; empty means automatic.
- Color: common label color.
- Font / Style: an independent label font and style. Auto inherits the applicable default.
- Padding > Top, Right, Bottom, Left: spacing around labels.
- Custom Text > Days, Hrs, Min, Sec: replace the text of each unit label.
- Single Colors > Days, Hours, Minutes, Seconds: label color for each individual unit.
- Label above digits: moves labels above numbers in layouts that support that placement.
The basic Case selector also affects custom labels. Choose Manual when you want to keep the exact spelling and capitalization you typed. Built-in unit words can be localized by Language; write your own translations for arbitrary custom text.
Separator
- Size (px): separator text size.
- Type: the separator text, normally
:. It is not the timer's timing mode. - Color: normal separator color.
- Font: separator font, or Auto.
- Blinking Color: alternate separator color for animated styles.
- Padding > Top, Right, Bottom, Left: spacing around separators.
- Single Colors: a separate separator color associated with each time unit.
Some templates emphasize shapes instead of visible separator characters. A separator setting may have little or no effect in such a design.
Overrides and readability
Use the main colors first, then add per-unit overrides where needed. If changing Appearance > Text seems to do nothing, check the explicit colors in Digits, Labels and their Single Colors sections.
Allow space for the longest label and the largest expected day count. After a font or label change, inspect Preview for clipping and test the embedded size. Clear an optional override to return to automatic styling.
