Background, images and format

Open More settings > Background.

Canvas size

Width (px) and Height (px) set the output canvas dimensions. Leave them empty for automatic sizing. Too-small dimensions can clip the countdown; check the complete image in Preview.

Canvas size is different from the Size and Retina controls on the saved timer's information page. Those change how the existing image is displayed in an email, not the design canvas.

Color and image

Color is the background color also shown in Appearance.

Image > Upload image adds a background. The picker accepts JPEG, PNG, GIF and WebP; the upload service validates the file. Do not assume that uploading an animated file will preserve its animation as the timer's background.

Once the preview is ready, drag the countdown to place it on the image. The position is saved with the timer when you save/update it. The remove control beside the uploaded filename removes that background selection and requests deletion of the upload.

Uploaded backgrounds have publicly retrievable URLs. Do not upload confidential content, customer lists or images you do not have permission to use.

Transparent

The Transparent switch is below Preview. The striped preview surface helps you see empty areas.

When enabled, GIF Transparent color appears. Choose a color close to the background on which the timer will sit: white for a white email surface, a dark value for a dark surface. GIF transparency can leave colored edges, so inspect the result in an actual email.

WebP supports alpha transparency. Test the intended image format in your target email applications; a dark website theme does not automatically recolor an image already embedded in an email.

WebP

More settings > Background > WebP allows the service's negotiated WebP output where supported. The normal copied embed URL still ends in .gif; changing this switch does not rewrite the copied URL to .webp.

The final format depends on the request and service configuration. Do not assume that every mailbox receives WebP just because the option is enabled.

RTL

RTL reverses the order of the visible time segments. It does not change the deadline, translate the text or change the ring animation direction. Ring Reverse is a separate control.
