This policy explains how Timers for Email handles personal information when you visit our website, use a team workspace, buy a subscription or load a timer image embedded in an email.

1. Scope and responsibilities

In this policy, "we" and "our" refer to the team operating Timers for Email. You can reach us at support@promofeatures.com for privacy questions and requests.

We determine how account, security, support and billing records are used to operate the service. A customer that includes our timer in a campaign is responsible for its recipient list, the campaign and the notices and permissions required for that campaign. Where we process recipient information only on a customer's instructions, we act as a service provider or processor for that customer, subject to the applicable agreement and law.

This policy covers our service. An email sender, email platform, mailbox provider or payment provider may also process information under its own privacy notice. Using a timer does not give us general access to your inbox.

2. Information you provide

  • Account and profile: your email address, name, profile image, authentication details and account settings. An external sign-in provider, if you choose one, supplies the information needed to authenticate your account.
  • Team workspace: team name and logo, membership, roles, invitations and the actions you take within a team.
  • Timer content: timer names, deadlines, time zones, design settings, text, uploaded assets and other information you put into a timer.
  • Billing: plan and subscription identifiers, billing periods, payment and refund status, usage totals, invoices and records of charges for extra views. Paddle may supply billing contact or tax details relevant to a purchase.
  • Support: the messages, attachments and troubleshooting information you send us.

Please do not put passwords, payment details, sensitive personal information or recipient email addresses into timer text, image URLs or URL parameters. These can become visible to recipients or appear in request logs.

3. What happens when a timer loads

A timer is a remotely hosted image. When an email client, image proxy, browser or other system requests it, our servers receive technical information needed to respond. Access logs can include the IP address, forwarded IP information, request time, image URL and query parameters, browser or client identifier, referring URL when supplied, response status, transfer size and cache information.

We use these requests to deliver timer images and calculate usage. The customer dashboard shows aggregated timer and team statistics, such as views, dates, image formats and transfer totals. The current reporting does not identify named recipients or provide a list of individual people who opened an email. Raw server logs can still contain personal information; aggregation of reports does not make those logs anonymous.

Image proxies, preloading, caching and automated requests affect the figures. A recorded view is a qualifying image request, not proof that a particular person read a message. The service does not need a recipient's email address to serve an ordinary timer image.

If you receive an email containing a timer, contact its sender about the campaign and its tracking practices. You can also contact us about information handled by our service. Blocking remote images in your email client can prevent direct requests, although your provider may independently fetch or cache images.

4. Why we use information

  • To create accounts, authenticate users, manage team access and provide the timers and settings you request.
  • To measure consumption, apply plan limits, calculate extra-view charges and maintain payment and dispute records.
  • To diagnose errors, protect accounts, investigate misuse and maintain reliable service.
  • To answer requests and send necessary account, security and billing messages.
  • To comply with legal obligations and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, the basis depends on the purpose: performing a contract with you; our legitimate interests in providing, securing and administering the service, balanced against your rights; compliance with legal obligations; or consent where required. A customer's campaign must have its own appropriate legal basis. Our operational interests do not replace any consent required for email tracking.

Optional promotional communications must meet applicable permission requirements. You can object to direct marketing or use the unsubscribe option in a marketing message; essential service messages are separate.

5. Cookies and browser storage

Our website uses cookies and similar browser storage for sign-in sessions, security and preferences such as language and appearance. Disabling them may prevent sign-in or stop preferences from being remembered. Our Cookie Policy lists the storage used and explains the Cookie settings notice.

The current website does not use an external website analytics or advertising provider. If we introduce non-essential tracking that requires consent, we will explain it and obtain that consent before activating it. Payment checkout may use Paddle's own cookies or similar technologies; see Paddle's privacy notice.

A remote timer image can generate a logged request without a tracking cookie. Cookie settings on our dashboard do not control how a customer's email provider handles images. Customers must explain relevant measurement to their recipients and obtain permissions where required.

6. Who can receive information

Team members can access workspace records according to their role. Authorized billing managers can access billing and debt history. Team access does not make all workspace records public.

Public timer URLs are designed to work outside an authenticated account. Anyone who obtains a public timer URL can request the image and see the content rendered into it. Uploaded timer backgrounds, profile images and team logos also use public image URLs: a person with the asset URL can retrieve the file without joining the workspace, including a background uploaded before a timer is published. Treat these images as shared content, not as private documents.

Information may be handled by personnel and providers that support hosting, data storage, authentication, transactional email, support and security, to the extent needed for their work. Paddle handles purchases as merchant of record and processes payment information under its own privacy notice. Full payment-card numbers and card security codes are not stored in our application database.

We do not sell or rent personal information. We may disclose information where required by law, to investigate fraud or protect rights, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable privacy requirements. We do not treat a support request as permission to publish its personal or confidential contents.

7. International processing

Information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live, depending on the infrastructure and providers involved. Paddle describes its own international processing in its privacy notice.

Where transfer restrictions apply, transfers must use the safeguards required by the relevant law, such as an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual protections. Visiting the website is not, by itself, consent to waive those protections. Contact support@promofeatures.com for information about the processing locations and safeguards relevant to your use of the service.

8. How long information is kept

Retention depends on the information and why it is needed. Account and workspace information supports the ongoing service; usage and billing records support invoicing, reconciliation, disputes and applicable record-keeping obligations; technical logs support troubleshooting and security investigations.

The relevant criteria include whether an account or campaign is still active, whether a payment or support issue is unresolved, applicable legal requirements and the time needed to address security incidents or legal claims. Not every category has the same retention period.

Removing a timer or closing an account is not necessarily immediate erasure of all related records. Data may remain in backups, request logs or records that must be retained for a valid purpose. A timer image already cached by a recipient or email platform may also remain outside our control. Contact us for a deletion request or details about retention for a specific category.

9. Your choices and privacy rights

You can update available profile and workspace settings in your account. Depending on your location and the circumstances, you may also have rights to access personal information, correct it, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, or withdraw consent. Withdrawing consent does not undo processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Send requests to support@promofeatures.com. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity and authority, especially when a request concerns a team or someone else's campaign. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any lawful limitation.

You may complain to your local data protection authority. If a request concerns a customer's recipient list or campaign decisions, we may direct you to that customer or assist it in responding. We do not use recipient requests to make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about recipients.

10. Security and account access

We use technical and organizational controls intended to limit unauthorized access and protect the service, including authentication and role-based workspace access. No online system can guarantee absolute security.

Keep your sign-in credentials private, review team memberships and permissions, and notify support@promofeatures.com promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not send passwords or full payment-card details with a support request.

11. Children

The service is intended for people able to enter into a binding agreement and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly solicit accounts from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the service, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate steps.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service or applicable requirements change. The date above identifies the latest revision. For material changes, we will provide appropriate notice through the service or by email and obtain additional consent where required. A policy update does not automatically authorize an incompatible new use of information already collected.

13. Contact

For privacy requests, security concerns or questions about this policy, email support@promofeatures.com. Include the relevant account or team and enough detail to help us locate the issue, without including sensitive credentials.

Our Terms of Service describe subscriptions, view allowances and the responsibilities of customers who embed timers.
